ABOUT THE CLUB History
Partizan Richmond football club is a new club formed by players tired of dealing with the various common issues encountered when playing amateur football in Richmond and the surrounding DC and Virginia beach areas. Formally comprised of players from the Fan Rats, Lions, Pink Panthers and Richmond Celtic organizations, these players have come together with the help of Ricardo Lo Presti and the Italian restaurant community to solve these problems and create a club capable of sustaining not only a high level of competition but also supporting the social aspects of the game which are much revered and respected in Europe. Although at present focused on the mens adult game; the embodiment of Partizans’ constitution applies to soccer at all levels including both youth and coed players. Plans to expand and include these groups are a major part of the clubs short term goals.

In its first season Partizan Richmond FC will compete in the CVSA Division 1 men’s league, and will enter into the CVSA Cups and well as the MDCVSA State and USASA National Amateur over 30 competitions. Its first team will have 22-24 players/members and will wear a red and black home jersey with black shorts and black socks.

Partizan Richmond Football Club is a club for the players by the players and will ensure an organized competitive environment that its squad(s) and members can be proud of. In the tradition of Richmond’s other respected clubs, the birth of Partizan Richmond heralds a new era of competition whereby the means and drive exist to push forward the levels of today and expand the boundaries of Richmond soccer for tomorrow.

Partizan Richmond is different to all of the other soccer clubs in the CVSA because it is run and “owned” by its members - a principle enshrined in its constitution - and with our first season about to begin, now is a great time to become a member and have your say in how the club moves forward.

One member, one vote
Being a member of the club entitles you to one vote in how the club is run - to elect the board, pass resolutions and rule changes, and have a say in the future direction of the club. Ownership will be kept within its member populace (no non-member can buy into the club) and therefore will stop the dissolution and breakup of the entity by a single force. All initial investment will be voluntary with the ownership and profits being attributed first to the club and its shared elected goals and then on to those who put forth the financial investment.

As well as electing the board, members will decided how much the membership will cost, vote on how often the team's playing strip will change, who and how to carry sponsorship, in short involved in the day to day running of its season and any other ancillary services it chooses to offer.

These are all big decisions at a soccer club and unlike the vast majority of other clubs, the people who are in charge of making these decisions at Partizan are the members - supporters of soccer, passionate soccer enthusiasts, who are there for the benefit of the club and its members as a whole, putting the club before individual wants.

The strength of the club as it develops will, to a large part, be dependent on the strength of its membership base. By becoming a member you become part of the football club – you can own it, control it and belong to it.

The future
And it's not just adults who are encouraged to get involved; we're planning for the future too. Although you cannot have voting and ownership rights as an under-18, plans are in the works to extend and have another team under the Partizan banner which will service youth players looking to get into college or extend their playing careers beyond the realms of youth club soccer in Richmond. When this happens the board will listen to and work with these members to ensure they have a stake in the future of the club.

Money
One more thing to remember is that all money raised by Partizan Richmond from fees is reinvested in the club, providing services for members and carrying out development work in the local community and beyond.

By contributing through your annual fee’s - you are contributing to the club, yourself and the future.

Come on, join your club.
